John Carlson is Vice President of New Business Sales for Cigna Pharmacy Management.  His team is responsible for selling Pharmacy Benefit Plans to employers throughout the United States.  John has led sales teams in HealthCare, Financial Services, and Technology.  He has spoken at numerous industry conferences and has been published in several industry publications.

In addition to his leadership of sales teams, he has led teams in the areas of marketing, product development, and investment management.  John has both an MBA and a BS, with concentrations in Finance.  Additionally, he has attended various postgraduate programs in International Finance (Geneva Switzerland), Negotiation Skills and Public Speaking.

John resides in Avon, CT with his wife Nancy and has two grown daughters.  John spent almost 20 years in elected office in Avon, having served on the Board of Education, Board of Finance, and the Town Council where he was Chairman.  He also served on the Capital Campaign for the United Way of Central CT.
