Mary Jo has served in operational, leadership and financial management roles throughout her three-decade career. Presently, Mary Jo’s role with a prominent Hartford law firm encompasses the full scope of financial controls and reporting. As the senior leader of the firm’s non-attorney staff, Mary Jo has the full accountability for a range of functions including HCM, strategic planning, property management and, sometimes, even party planning. Having begun her career at GE Capital where she had the privilege to receive their in-house financial training, Mary Jo leveraged her experience there when she transitioned to an asset-management focused role for a prominent Connecticut-based utilities organization. Subsequently, Mary Jo transitioned to her first law firm role as an accounting clerk. That put her on the path of increasing responsibility within that and then other law firms, leading to her present role. Mary Jo has remarked that she enjoys the opportunity to make the contributions she does to her firm’s success and she is humbled by the trust the attorneys of the firm place in her. Mary Jo and her husband, Kevin, live in Simsbury where they enjoy golfing, gardening, and keeping up with the latest developments in the lives of their two grown children, Mike and Elizabeth.
