Sarah Leathers is our Executive Director. Sarah is an entrepreneur, having worked in both the corporate and non-profit sectors and served on several boards of non-profits where she organized many fundraising events over the years. She has worked in many different industries and has worked extensively with youth along the way. She has seen the power of believing in our young people and giving them an opportunity to succeed. Sarah graduated from Union College with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1985 and in 2013 graduated from The Institute for Integrative Nutrition as a Certified Health and Wellness Coach and has gone on to develop a wellness curriculum for high schools and colleges, guiding young people to be their best selves in all areas of their lives. She has dreamed of starting Healing Meals since 2010 as her sister, Cathryn Couch, is the Executive Director of Ceres Community Project, our affiliate partner. Sarah grew up in Simsbury and now lives there with her husband and son. She has two grown daughters who are married.
