Carmen Vega has a smile and spirit that lights up a room.  As a Campaign & Operations Manager at an all-boys independent school in Avon, CT she developed a passion for connecting with youth and helping to bring the best out of them. This, along with her love for cooking, makes her a natural as a Healing Meals Board Member and she is excited about the opportunity this position brings.

Born and raised in Hartford, CT, she hopes to witness the youth from poverty-stricken neighborhoods take part in creating meals that will change lives while learning the benefits of nutrient-filled foods.  Carmen loves gardening with her family and taking in all that nature has to offer.
