Other Ways to Help
At Healing Meals we offer a wide variety of ways to support our mission, that best suits you, your family and giving plan.
Your donation helps our clients to better recover from their illness and treatments. It also supports our local teens who volunteer to prepare those meals.
Individual Support
No matter what level you choose you will be providing our program critical resources that advance our mission on a monthly basis. Monthly gifts range from $5 – $100. Click here to join our Nourishing Our Community Club!
We gratefully receive donations of produce and kitchen equipment as well as items for our events and auctions such as local restaurant and business gift certificates, travel packages, and other unique experiences.
As a community based non-profit we strive to have as many individuals involved as possible. Our volunteers are the heart of our organization. But we also realize that not everyone can be with us to support our work.
Would you like to give us an in-kind gift? We welcome any and all ideas; a few current needs include:

- Services: photocopy and mail services
- Expertise: website & social media marketing/development

What better way to support Healing Meals than having us cook for you and your guests! Each of these unique fundraising dinners includes 3 courses for up 12 guests, and we request a $100 donation per guest. Our Youth Chefs along with Adult Mentors will prepare our recipes and serve you and your guests. This is a beautiful way to spread our mission and experience our program firsthand!
Show your support for the Healing Meals Community Project on Tuesday, June 27th at 6:00 pm at our annual fundraising dinner. Tonight’s meal will feature an innovative menu inspired by our regular client meals, created and prepared by three talented local chefs:
* Jeff Lizotte of Present Company, Tariffville
* Tony Camilleri of Toro Loco, Farmington
* Kevin Masse of Small State Provisions, West Hartford
Participate in exciting live and silent auctions while you enjoy your delicious farm to table meal. A cash bar will also be available.

In 2023, the Cookathon will be held on June 26 and 27. Individuals will be assigned to a team to join one of our chefs to prepare a dish for our clients and/or the “Made with Love” Benefit Dinner taking place the evening of June 27th.
Shifts are available from 8am – 11am, 11am – 2pm, and 2pm – 5pm on both June 26 and 27.

Including FVFFH in your will or estate plan, is a bold act of generosity and ensures our longevity. Creating a will or estate plan safeguards that you can provide for your family and have your assets distributed as you wish. You can make a bequest gift to FVFFH by including language in your estate plan or will leaving a portion of your assets to the organization or by designating FVFFH as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy.
Before making your estate plans, you should consult with an attorney, financial planner and/or a qualified estate planner.
Use your investments to significantly benefit our programs. By donating stocks & securities to FVFFH you not only provide critical support to our programs, but you’ll also receive a charitable deduction and avoid capital gains taxes that would otherwise be due on the sale.
To donate stock first contact your broker and inform them you would like to donate your shares to Fox Valley Food for Health. Then contact Zac Cesario at Zac@foxvalleyfoodforhealth, to provide information on your gift and coordinate next steps on transferring securities into FVFFH’s brokerage account at Edward Jones.
