At Healing Meals we offer a wide variety of ways to support our mission, that best suits you, your family and giving plan.
Your donation helps our clients to better recover from their illness and treatments. It also supports our local teens who volunteer to prepare those meals.
Individual Support
Monthly Giving and Sustaining Support
No matter what level you choose, you will be providing our program critical resources that advance our mission on a monthly basis. Monthly gifts range from $5 – $100. Click here to join our Nourishing Our Community Club!
We gratefully receive donations of kitchen equipment as well as items for our events and auctions such as local restaurant and business gift certificates, travel packages, and other unique experiences.
As a community based non-profit we strive to have as many individuals involved as possible. Our volunteers are the heart of our organization. But we also realize that not everyone can be with us to support our work.
Would you like to give us an in-kind gift? We welcome any and all ideas; a few current needs include:

Bequest and Estate Planning
Including Healing Meals in your will or estate plan, is a bold act of generosity and ensures our longevity. Creating a will or estate plan safeguards that you can provide for your family and have your assets distributed as you wish. You can make a bequest gift to Healing Meals by including language in your estate plan or will leaving a portion of your assets to the organization or by designating Healing Meals as a beneficiary of your retirement account or life insurance policy. Before making your estate plans, you should consult with an attorney, financial planner and/or a qualified estate planner.
Host a “Nourishing Our Community” Dinner
What better way to support Healing Meals than having us cook for you and your guests! Each of these unique fundraising dinners includes 3 courses for up 12 guests, and we request a $100 donation per guest. Our Youth Chefs along with Adult Mentors will prepare our recipes and serve you and your guests. This is a beautiful way to spread our mission and experience our program firsthand!
Show your support for the Healing Meals Community Project at our annual Made with Love Benefit. In 2024, our Benefit featured an innovative menu inspired by our regular client meals, created and prepared by four talented local chefs:

* Tony Camilleri of Toro Loco, Farmington
* Kevin Masse of Small State Provisions, West Hartford
* Joe Bucholz of the Healing Meals kitchen
Each year at the Benefit, guests participate in exciting live and silent auctions while they enjoy a delicious farm to table meal and cash bar. All proceeds from the event benefits the Healing Meals Community Project. Your ticket price provides twelve healing meals to local clients facing a health crisis.
Cookathon Fundraiser: Individual Participant
Each year in June, we hold a unique Cookathon Fundraiser where we offer local companies the opportunity to cook nourishing meals for our clients alongside well-known local chefs. For more information, please contact cristy@healingmealsproject.org
Corporate Support
Double your support! When you make a donation, your company may match your gift to Healing Meals. There’s no better way to increase your support by getting your company involved in our community and program. Take a moment to check with your HR department or website to see if your company has a matching gift program.
Event Sponsorship
Our generous corporate partners help make our fundraisers a success. Our sponsors ensure that all money raised at our events go directly to our program. Sponsorships can range from $250 – $50,000 and include exclusive benefits and exposure to your company.

Corporate Cookathon Fundraiser Team
Each year in June, we hold a unique Cookathon Fundraiser where we offer local companies the opportunity to cook nourishing meals for our clients alongside well-known local chefs. Corporate teams of 8 – 10 people may choose a shift and join one of our chefs to prepare a dish for our clients.
