Carrie is a Communications professional with over 15 years of experience, predominantly in the nonprofit sector, focusing on public relations, brand strategy, fundraising and crisis communications. She is passionate about finding solutions for food insecurity and disparities in health and education, and has worked with a variety of nonprofits in the Greater Hartford area including Connecticut Foodshare, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford and the Connecticut Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Carrie is a graduate of the Boston University College of Communication and will complete her Masters in Public Administration at UConn this spring. In her free time, Carrie loves to cook, bake and read. She is an avid runner and enjoys spending time with her twin boys, husband and their rescue dog, Maya.
