Susan Hoffman

VOLUNTEER MANAGER

Volunteering is in Susan’s DNA. She was raised by parents and grandparents that believed in the power of giving time and connecting to their communities. Since High School, she has been volunteering at organizations that focus on food insecurity, youth empowerment, and literacy. She is most proud of her accomplishments as a volunteer, and this makes her the perfect person to manage Healing Meals large volunteer base. With strong attention to detail and a warm smile, Susan joined the Healing Meals Team during the pandemic in the summer of 2020. She is focused on keeping our volunteers safe while ensuring the mission is fulfilled. Previously, she worked in Development and Communications for non-profits in the Greater Hartford Area, with this strong skill set she will be able to meet her goal of growing a larger and even more diverse volunteer base.

Susan lives in Simsbury with her husband, Brent, and their three children, Devin, Ryan, and Samantha, and of course, their dog, Putney.
